Yes, we do! The Brass Monkey
Good food good service
We ARE pet friendly. Pets are allowed on our outdoor balcony.
Absolutely. Beautiful ocean view
Casual, so I think you would be fine
We were closed that entire week for a major remodel. We had posted that to our facebook page, and there was a sign out front explaining that. Very sorry that you did not get word. Please try us again when you can.
Couple hours at least
You have to call & see it depends
Had a cheeseburger and bbq burger, both tastey. Gravey cheese fries and 2 jai alai went well with the burgers. View of the gulf was spectacular!
The menu is too large to create a niche other than Baltimore teams...the crab cake was full of crab. The atmosphere is probably fun for Baltimore fans but otherwise it's pretty cheesy.
They claim that their chicken salad is the best on the beach and they are right. Their food is amazing. Everyone loved their meal. The mussels were pretty good. In glad we decided to go there instead of the place next door
We love eating at the Brass Monkey after a day at the beach. My favorite appetizers are the fish dip and the crab pretzel. I think they have one of the best seafood chowders I have ever eaten. You have to try the steamed shrimp (they are huge) - we get a half pound and share them. Other meals we like are the steamed mussels, seafood sampler, and hamburgers. Friendly servers and good drinks. If you are in Pass-a-Grille, you have got to eat at Brass Monkey.
Great food! Best Grouper I've had in ages. Mussels were delicious with a nice bite of spice. Fish spread was a hit. Service was quick and friendly. Great view of the gulf.
Not super friendly. First food order to go was messed up, not good. Second order made up for the first. Pretty small, not a ton of seating.
Love this place! Right on the beach! Food was on point!
The appetizers were great. The entree was okay. The service was kind of slow. But the view from the deck was beautiful.
Great place right across from South St. Pete Beach. They have a small patio on the second floor that looks out into the water plus inside seating. Great food and drinks. Highly recommend this place if your in the area.
Had the seafood chowder good and the Ruben crab cake sandwich both were good I would order the Ruben crab cake again 😁
Third time coming here, each time a Saturday night. Lovely experience, food always pretty scrumptious. Waiting for a table, bar keep always a treat for a couple of zappy drinks before eating. Good music, great hop off the beach type of place. The staff handles a very busy night well.
Just had the best Maryland Crabcakes ever..Love those Monkey Balls...our first time having them but won't be the last for sure..we had carry out and the very nice girl brought them downstairs for me..wonderful service. Also thank you to the gentleman who went upstairs to let her know I was there..I left my phone in my car so could not call and let them know I was there. Thank you everyone.
The views, food, and staff are great! The food is super affordable compared to other restaurants in the area and everything I’ve ordered always had a good clean taste. The service is also very good! I’ve never had to wait to be seated and all of the waiters are super nice and responsive. Although, my only problem is that the restaurant doesn’t feel very clean inside.
We stopped by for dinner on our first evening in Pass-a-Grille. The food was fine (BM isn’t trying to be anything fancy). Location and view were nice. I just would have hoped for more than a bag of Lays chips with a $16 fish sandwich. If they aren’t going to include fries, homemade chips would have been a better way to go. The chowder was ok and the old bay wings were pretty good. EDIT: to the comment of the establishment...a bag of chips is just cheap given the price charged. It’s a tradition that can be better served with making your own with the price that’s being charged. Or charge $12 and give a bag of cheap chips. I work in Maryland and Delaware so am quite familiar area traditions.
Great beachside eats! Jungle Juice helps ease away the sunburn!
Casual, fun atmosphere with great food at a reasonable price. The seafood tasted fresh and I was impressed with with the Chesapeake Maryland style crab cakes and use of the old bay seasoning. Friendly staff and hostess.
This place has awesome food. The bartender was great all afternoon. As we were checking out it was a shift change I find this in many places the next shift doesnt greet the old customers cause they aren't getting tips. We weren't ready to leave but they didnt say hello at all, that was the bar backup as well as the new bartender. They need a little coaching.
One of the best restaurants in the Tampa/ St. Pete area. If you're from MD and living in FL this place is a nice reminder of home. Highly recommend the crab pizza!
DONT MESS WITH THE GROUPER RUEBEN! The grouper rueben is not a rueben at all. No sauerkraut, almost no thousand island, and the rye bread was not rye, and seriously? bagged lays chips served in the bag. You don’t even get to choose the flavor. If you want a different side you have to pay TWO DOLLARS for green beans with bagged lays. Best part was the atmosphere, location, and friendly waitress.
It was ok. If your getting fish you would enjoy it. Everything else wasn't special
Nice lunch spot right outside the beach 👌 Definitely try the crab pretzel! Burger should come with non up charged fries tho not potato chips!
Amazing service! Great cram skins!
Great spot over looking the beach! The food was all amazing. I ordered the seafood chowder, grouper Ruben, and the French fries. So so good. I highly recommend it!
Great day at the beach and so thankful for a restaurant like Brass Monkey. They offer a wide variety of dishes, salads, And sandwiches. Your choice to sit in A/C or outside looking out to the Gulf. Either way you are made to feel comfortable. And they are kidding... their Chicken Salad is the Best!!
This place is horrible. I literally had the nastiest burger from there. It was full of grease and the buns were soaked. They also just give you a bag of chips as an side, don’t know how much cheaper they can get. The place is also dirty itself, just look at the carpets going up the stairs. The only thing it had going for it was only the location and view. Besides that it was overpriced with nasty food and the restaurant was outdated. I recommend going somewhere else.
LOVED my visit! Seated on outside balcony, with a tremendous view of St Pete Beach and the Gulf.... Extensive varied menu makes it hard to choose (a good thing!). Settled on the Atlantic Salmon, and was NOT disappointed.... Delicious lunch and I'll definitely be back!
Fodd was great. The food was great. The view was amazing
First time coming to the Brass Monkey. The area is fun to walk around and check out local shops. The view from the balcony was fantastic and very friendly staff. The food was cooked to perfection. Very good, I will be going again.
Brass Monkey has become a favorite go-to place for the hubby and I to enjoy after hitting the beach. We like to sit outside on the top deck, it's hard to beat that view. The drinks are solid, service is great, and we haven't ordered anything that we haven't thoroughly enjoyed. My favorite is the French Onion Soup and my Florida native hubby LOVES their scallops. You can't go wrong with the Monkey balls or the Fish spread either. Their Seafood Chowder is fantastic but we would love to see it offered in a smaller size so we can enjoy it along with all of the other amazing items on the menu more often. I highly recommend Brass Monkey as the place to go if you're in the area.
Not terrible but the food was bland. Seemed fresh and well put together, service was good, social distancing was good. All around decent, just wish the food was seasoned with something other than sauce. P.S. shrimp cocktail is actually colossal prawns, great presentation but not the same. We will eat shrimp, not prawns as they tend to be tougher and a different texture.
Excellent, all the way around. The crab cakes are exquisite. The owners and staff are wonderful. The ambiance is nice and comfortable. There's outdoor, second-story eating area which overlooks the Gulf. Pass-A-Grill is now my family beach and Brass Monkey will be our restaurant for whenever we come here, which, as it is easy to get to, I hope is often.
Just had lunch at Brass Monkey. I must say the service was exceptional! The food was fresh and came out fast. My server Alberina was so sweet and super hot. I highly recommend the confetti wings they’re delicious. The view was incredible! To be over looking the Gulf, woth great food and beautiful server. My last day of vacation was perfect!!!
Good svc. Nice view. Good food
Just go to McDonalds. My Brazilian wife thinks our server ignored her family because of their race. And it certainly seemed that way. They also snuck in a 20% gratuity. Gratuities are for fancy restaurants, not kitschy dumps like this. I made the mistake of ordering a philly-cheese steak. I'm convinced it was just cardboard. Unsalted cardboard. Everybody's food looked dry and it was all under salted. The most basic thing you can do to food is shake some salt on it. Just like the most basic thing a server can do is ask how you are or give you water. Which she failed to do. Meanwhile the white people on all around us received great service. Hmmm?
My friend's invited me to brass monkey I had an amazing time I will definitely come back soon. The food was great the service was great the people the atmosphere was wonderful.
I can't say Enough Good things about this place! The food is Outstanding! The service Great as well, very attentive. The deck, view, wonderful sunsets! Crabcakes, shrimp, monkey balls, crab cake Reuben you Have to try! EVERYTHING IS GOOD!
There was no wait to be seated. Our beach ride driver said grouper was a impulse thing to order while in the area, so I gave it a try!The sandwich came with a small bag of lays classic (which I liked cause it was easy to take with me). Although fries as an option not an upgrade would be better. The food was tasty although I did find a quarter size of something I had to pull out of my mouth (scale possibly). The view and service were great!
Just ate here with the family. Outstanding service, Tables distanced, very clean and safe. Excellent food too. Great job to the entire team! We’ll be back!
Such a great little restaurant right on the beach! Visited for the first time and I was thoroughly impressed! The food was really delicious, the staff members were all very friendly and the establishment itself was clean and well kept. I'm looking forward to my next visit, whenever that may be!
Many tasty choices on the menu fit for anyone. Personally, I had the Crab Pretzel and I was not disappointed. So delicious. And the sunset/beach view was breathtaking. I would go back again in a heartbeat.
Terrific experience. Best view of St. Pete's Beach. Fabulous fish and chips and perfect hamburger..... very nice staff and servers. We will definitely return on next visit.
The apps we had were great, lovely view of sunset from upper deck area. The inside area was a little loud making it harder to have a conversation going, but overall a fun place with good food.
Great restaurant and location. Good eats and drinks
Food was good. Small portions for big prices. Service definitely needed to be better
An annual visit to the BM is tradition after nearly a decade of vacationing at St. Pete beach. One member of my family is a Maryland thoroughbred devoted to all-killer-no-filler crab cakes. He's converted all of us to make the BM pilgrimage at least once when we're in town.
The food was good but didn't make up for the lousy service. 4 large shrimp for $28.00. The sports ambiance of the place didn't justify the sky high prices. When we noticed the server added 20% to our $160 meal making it $192..We realized why our service sucked. She knew she was getting paid no matter what.
The first time, The Brass Monkey was recommended to us, we read many of the reviews that were posted online. All we can say is that year after year, and at different times when we have been at the Gulf coast, this place is always a "Have to Visit!"Balcony, Beach and Relaxing Fun!You can access the beach, walk on the sand, then head back to watch the sunset from the balcony!Pass-a-Grille is always a pretty area and the drive is easy!
Such a good experience! We were seated immediately. Jill was our server and she was wonderful. We had the crab cake meal with fried and green beans. Clam chowder soup was so yummy! Our table had a variety of drinks, but I had the strawberry one colada.
The brass monkey has great food and a great view! Would definetly go again! Yes, you should pass The Hurricane and go to the brass monkey!
Absolutely my favorite beach eatery. The view is fantastic, and the food is even better. I didnt think they could top their Grouper Rueben until I had their Crabcake Rueben... just WOW. I knew I shouldn't have eaten the whole sandwich at once, but I just couldn't stop myself. The staff was very welcoming and treated us right. Kelly and Barry are gracious supporters of local law enforcement, and have become a regular stop for my family.
